Occupational health and safety policy

IHC Merwede has had an in-house occupational health and safety service since 2001. The team is made up of a safety expert, a psychologist, a company physiotherapist and a company doctor. Together they provide a range of services relating to health and safety, and absenteeism. The occupational health and safety service keeps records of absenteeism, counsels sick employees and helps with the reintegration of employees who have been declared unfit for work. Employees can also consult the company doctor for preventive advice about health problems that may be work-related before it leads to their absence from work. The service also coordinates the regular medical examinations of new employees and the voluntary periodic occupational health examinations to which employees are entitled.
