Introduction:new designations
IHC Beaver Dredgers recently replaced the goodold workhorse, the IHC Beaver® 1600, with aninnovative new vessel: theIHC Beaver® 50. The number in the designation provides an unambiguous and unique identification based on the discharge pipeline in centimetres. In the near future, the Beaver 3300, Beaver 3300NG, Beaver 5014c and others will all be replaced as well, and the new series will by then comprise the IHC Beaver® 30, 40, 45, 50, 55SP and 65SP. The last two will be equipped with a direct-driven submerged pump(SP) as standard. From now on, anIHC Beaver® 50 will simply be a cutter suction dredger with a discharge pipeline of 50cm.
