Prompt repair with IHC Technical Services

Technical Services Europe has successfully executed a prompt repair on the dredge pump gearbox of a cutter suction dredger. Due to the failure it was impossible to continue operation and the local IHC agent was called and Technical Services Europe was contacted.

Within 15 hours, parts were fabricated or partly demounted from a new gearbox at the supplier. The IHC service engineer started disassembling the unserviceable gearbox immediately. At night the spare parts arrived and he started reassembling the machine the next day. By lunch time the job was done and after some tests the dredger was ready to operate again.

Due to this quick action our customer was able to restart production only 48 hours after breakdown.
