IHC Merwede builds durable capital goods that involve sizeable investments for the client. The partnership starts when the design for the vessel is still on the drawing table. When new and improved techniques and systems are tested or an entirely new concept developed. Only after we have found the right solution for the client's requirements, we will start on the next phase: the detailed engineering and building of the ship. A turn-key solution for every ship. IHC Merwede supervises the ship until it is fully operational and functional. When needed, this includes training of the crew.

Working from various service centers around the world, IHC Merwede ensures a timely supply of original (spare) parts in order to limit down-time of operational vessels. Service engineers are specialised in finding the right balance between preventive maintenance and corrective measures or repairs, adjustment of upgrading of existing vessels according to changing markets and modernisation of existing vessels to improve their life cycle.
