As a consequence, soil, sea and other conditions are taken fully into account from the earliest design stage.

Secondly, they are economical to operate. Building mechanical dredgers at local shipyards reduces labour costs and keeps the investment relatively low. It ensures that the final product meets the specification of the contract at a competitive price and using local equipment suppliers. Life-cycle costs are also minimised by the smart design.
