One of the flagship products of IHC Engineering Business is the Sea Stallion range of cable ploughs, used to bury cable up to 3m below the seabed in water depths up to 2,000 metres. Last year two Sea Stallion 3 cable plough systems were brought back into service for the burial of submarine telecom cable. EB has also built a new Sea Stallion 3 plough for Tyco Telecommunications (US).
EB’s subsea telecoms ploughs feature advanced SCADA based control systems that allow precise and reliable control and monitoring of the ploughs in up to 2000m of water and detailed ‘as-laid’ data. EB’s share design incorporates multiple forecutters to reduce tow forces, our deep water ploughs feature proven steering systems and handling features to permit deployment and towing from a single wire.
