That includes equipment for installing wind turbines and the technology for tidal energy. Given market demand, these activities in particular will expand further.
2004, Kval Sound Fjord, Norway. IHC Lagersmit delivers a tailor made SUPREME seal TG to fit a Tidal Turbine prototype. The challenge: design a seal to be maintenance free for at least 3 years. In 2008 it was time to evaluate. After four years of delivering green energy to the town Hammerfest, the seal showed results beyond expectations:
In the spring of 2008, IHC Engineering Business delivered a 7000 ton capacity carousel system to Ocean team for offshore wind farm use. More recently EB completed a fast track upgrade of a basket carousel for the Subocean group. The storage capacity of the carousel was increased by over 50% to 900 tons and this project was completed in three months.
